Announcing the Awardees of  the Collaborative Clinical Bioinformatics and AI Research Grants

Announcing the awardees of the Collaborative Clinical Bioinformatics and AI Research Grants of:

  • The Edmond J. Safra Center for Bioinformatics
  • The Center for AI and Data Science at Tel Aviv University (TAD)
  • and Eisenberg R&D Authority, Shaare Zedek Medical Center (SZMC)

 

To foster collaborations between researchers we published a joint call for grants aiming to support fundamental and translational collaborative research that combines novel computational techniques, AI and clinical applications. The grants awarded are 130,000 NIS each. Each proposal was reviewed by independent reviewers. Final decisions were made by the grant committee.

    Title: "AI for early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder with RNA expression profiles combined with phenotypic assessment".

     

  • Elhanan Borenstein, Faculty of Medicine & School of Computer Science, TAU | Dotan Yogev, MD, Juliet Keidan Institute of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, SZMC
    Title: "Integrative multi-omic analysis of response to dietary interventions in pediatric patients with Crohn's disease".

     

  • Gabriel Chodick, Faculty of Medicine, TAU | Shoshana Revel-Vilk, MD, Gaucher Unit, SZMC | Galia Zacay, MD, Meuhedet Health Organization Research Center
    Title: "Validation of a machine learning algorithm for early diagnosis of Gaucher disease".

 

  • Lior Wolf, School of Computer Science, TAU | Arik Wolak, MD, Jesselson Integrated Heart Center, SZMC | Elad Asher, MD Jesselson Integrated Heart Center, SZMC | Ranel Loutati, Jesselson Integrated Heart Center, SZMC
    Title: "Anticipating permanent pacemaker implantation after trans-catheter aortic valve implantation: A deeplearning based prediction model utilizing pre-procedure computerized tomography angiography".

     

  • Uri Obolski, Faculty of Medicine and Porter School of Environmental Studies, TAU | Yariv Gerber, Faculty of Medicine, TAU | Tal Hasin, MD, Jesselson Integrated Heart Center, SZMC
    Title: "Identifying trajectories of the six-minutes walk test in heart failure prognostication: A machine learning approach".
