Announcing the Awardees of the 2024-2025 Barel Travel Scholarships by TAD.

 

This program is funded with the support of Dr. Monique Barel, in the memory of Sylvain Barel.

 

Six students working in the fields of AI and Data Science from various disciplines at TAD were chosen to receive the "Barel Travel Scholarships" by the TAD committee.

 

As part of the Annual French Friends Scholarship Awarding Ceremony at Tel Aviv University on May 21, 2025, Dr. Monique Barel awarded the students who won the scholarships.

 

The awardees:

  3. Assaf Ben Kish, Engineering
    Research Title: "Mitigating Open Vocabulary Caption Hallucinations"

  4. Bruria Samuel, Life Sciences
    Research Title: "Plasmids Fight Back: Anti-Defense Systems Boost Conjugation Efficiency"

  5. Adi Mager, Exact Sciences
    Research Title: "Leveraging AI for Material Identification in Unauthorized Dumps for Circular Economy Applications"
