Youth Programs in Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with Tel Aviv Youth University
TAD offers two new youth programs:
- AI4Y - Academic track for excellent students in grades 9-10
- BITS of AI - Introductory course to AI and Machine Learning for students in grades 7-8 from the periphery
Programs heads: Prof. Tal Pupko and Dr. Shiri Stempler
AI4Y
AI4Y is a new program for students in grades 9-10, in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science, where students learn academic courses at Tel Aviv University and earn academic credits.
The program will be launched in November 2024 and will enable young students to engage in academic courses and get familiar with the academic environment and researchers in the field of AI and data science.
The program includes courses such as Python and machine learning (see more details here) and lectures by leading researchers in AI.
Bits of AI
Bits of AI is a program for youth in grades 7-8 from the periphery to study artificial intelligence (AI).
The program aims to introduce the academic field of AI to outstanding youth from the periphery, motivate them to continue their studies in this field, and expose them to different aspects, such as responsible use and ethics of artificial intelligence.
These important goals are part of TAD’s agenda to increase the representation of diverse populations in academia and create educational opportunities for all strata of Israeli society.
The Bits of AI program was launched in 2023. Students from the periphery of Israel are invited to participate in the course at Tel Aviv University to learn about machine learning and AI, to meet with various researchers at TAD, and to visit Google.
The scholarships in this program are supported by The Center for AI at Tel Aviv University and by Google.
