Research work
I have a BSc in Math and Biology and a PhD in mathematical biology, both from Tel Aviv University.
After a postdoc at Stanford University, I joined the faculty of the School of Computer Science at Reichman University, and later moved to the School of Zoology at Tel Aviv University.
My lab develops and applies statistical, computational, and mathematical models to study various questions in ecology, evolution, and cultural evolution. We study various systems, including viruses (MS2, SARS-CoV-2), microbes (bacteria, yeast, and fungi), cancer cells, animals (killer whales, hyrax, toads), and humans. We develop new models and methods in the interface between computational statistics, stochastic and dynamic models, and machine and deep learning.
