Prof. Saharon Rosset

Saharon Rosset is a Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research in Tel Aviv University. His research interests are in statistical and machine learning, statistical genetics, and modern statistical methods. 

 

He is a five time winner of major international data modeling competitions (KDD-Cup, INFORMS data mining challenge), with two best paper awards in KDD conferences. In 2018 his paper “From fixed-X to random-X regression: Bias-variance decompositions, covariance penalties, and prediction error estimation” with Ryan Tibshirani was selected for discussion by the Journal of the American Statistical Association.
