Ruth Barshir is the director of medical data domain at the Center for AI and Data Science. She received a bachelor degree in biology from the Hebrew university and PhD in computational biology from Ben-Gurion university, studying mechanisms of tissue-specific disease manifestation.
She designed and managed databases of biological data in both academia and industry and has extensive experience in analysis and integration of multi-omics data including protein-protein interactions, RNA-seq and non-coding genome annotation.
