Research work

My research focuses on the neurobiology of drug and alcohol addiction. In particular, I aim at elucidating learning and memory processes involved in addiction, using a combination molecular, biochemical and behavioral methods in animal models.

My goal is to gain better understanding on the basic psychological and neural mechanisms of addiction, which will promote the development of new treatment strategies.

We are also looking for biomarkers for psychiatric disorders, and addiction in particular, using a combination of behavioral, molecular, and computational (AI/ML) methods.
