Research work
Dr. Mark Shein-Idelson is a member of the School of Neuroscience, Biochemistry and Biophysics at TAU’s Faculty of life sciences and the Sagol School of Neuroscience.
He received his BA in physics from the Israeli Institute of Technology, his MA in physics from TAU and his PhD in electrical engineering from TAU.
As faculty at TAU he was awarded the Alon fellowship and the European Research Council starting grant.
Dr. Shein-Idelson's work focuses on the evolution of neuronal computation and sensory processing using reptilian model systems.
His long term scientific goal is to extract the fundamental computational principles shared by biological neuronal networks.
