Prof. Blumenfeld Lieberthal is an architect specializing in urban complexity and smart cities. She is the former head of the Azrieli School of Architecture at Tel Aviv University and one of the founding team and steering committee of "City Center" an interdisciplinary research center for cities and urbanism at Tel Aviv University.
Efrat's work combines complexity theories in general and complex networks in particular with urban studies.
In the last years, she has been working on smart transportation in urban contexts.
