Prof. Dror Avisar
Environment and Earth Sciences
Prof. Dror Avisar is Head of Hydrochemistry Research Group and the Head of The Water Research Center at Tel Aviv University.
Prof. Avisar focuses his research interest on the understanding the physico-chemical processes and the occurrence and transport of micro and nano persistent organic contaminants within the aquatic environment.
Additionally, Dror’s research group is investing lots of efforts to develop and to optimize innovative technologies to break down and remove persistent contaminants from various water sources.
The Hydrochemistry Laboratory specializes in studying the chemical-physical fate of persistent pollutants in water and soil sources. The laboratory is equipped with advanced analytical equipment both for sample preparation and extraction from different environmental phases and for qualitative or quantitative analysis. The quantitative analysis is done either in LC-UV-MS-MS or in GC-MS-HS-P&T.
